Orange Dog It was a breezy day and I saw something orange in the distance. As I got closer, I realized it was a dog! An orange dog, now that was something I had never seen before. He was sitting in the middle of the park, watching people pass by. I approached him slowly and extended my hand for him to smell. The dog looked up at me and wagged his tail. I patted his head and he leaned into my hand, enjoying the attention. I wondered about his story; how did he end up in a park all alone? I sat next to him and he rested his head on my lap. It was as if he knew me for years. I decided to take him home with me and find out more about him. As I walked back home with the orange dog, people kept staring at us. I could only imagine what they were thinking. I mean, who has ever seen an orange dog before? When we got home, I gave him a warm bath and fed him some food. He was so happy and playful. I named him Tango because he loved to dance around the house. I took him to the vet the next day to check on his health and also to see if he had a microchip. The vet couldn't find any microchip but confirmed he was in good health. Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. Tango had become a part of my life. It was as if we were meant to be together. I had no idea how I would survive without him. I took Tango on walks around the neighborhood and everyone knew him. They loved to see his vibrant orange color and would always stop to pet him. Some would ask me where I got him from and how they could get one too. I started doing some research on the breed or mixture of breeds that Tango could be. I wanted to know where he got his unique color from. I found out that there are some breeds like the Vizsla and the Redbone Coonhound that have a reddish-brown coat, but not exactly orange. As I was scrolling through social media one day, I came across a post about a lost orange dog. The picture looked familiar, and as I read through the description, I knew it was Tango! I contacted the owner and they were ecstatic to know that their dog had been found. They had been searching for him for weeks but had given up hope. It turned out that Tango had run away from home while playing in the backyard. He had traveled quite a distance before he ended up in the park where I found him. As much as I loved having Tango around, I knew he belonged to someone else. I was happy to return him to his rightful owner, who couldn't thank me enough. We exchanged contacts and they promised to keep in touch with updates about Tango's progress. As much as it was hard to let him go, knowing that Tango was reunited with his family made my heart happy. I realized that sometimes, things come into our lives for a purpose, and once that purpose is fulfilled, it is time to let go. Tango will always hold a special place in my heart as the one orange dog who brought so much joy into my life.
